What if you overheard robots talking?

The Influence of Robot-Robot Interaction on Human Impressions

Ongoing projects human-robot interaction, non-verbal sounds, impression Japanese only

A tabletop robot and a cart robot facing each other in the experiment

We studied how people perceive robots when they watch several robots interacting with each other, rather than a single robot. Even when robots exchanged only non-verbal sounds, observers perceived intentions and relationships between them.
